Sipi Falls is a stunning series of three waterfalls located in Eastern Uganda, near the border with Kenya. The falls are situated on the foothills of Mount Elgon, which is an extinct volcano that straddles the border between Uganda and Kenya. The falls are a popular tourist destination and offer visitors breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The tallest of the three falls is about 100 meters high and is a favourite spot for rock climbing and abseiling.

Pian Upe Game Reserve is a protected wildlife reserve located in the north-eastern region of Uganda. The reserve covers an area of over 2,700 square kilometres and is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including elands, giraffes, zebras, and various species of antelopes. The reserve is also home to several rare and endangered species such as the cheetah, the roan antelope, and the ostrich. The reserve is a popular destination for wildlife enthusiasts and offers visitors the chance to go on game drives and guided walks with experienced rangers. The reserve also has a number of camping sites, lodges, and cottages where visitors can stay overnight and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Sipi Falls and Pian Upe Game Reserve are both beautiful and unique destinations in Uganda that offers an unforgettable experience to visitors.

Day 1: Arrival in Kampala

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be picked up by our tour guide and transferred to your accommodation in Kampala / Entebbe. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the city or rest and prepare for the next day.

 

Day 2: Kampala to Sipi Falls

After breakfast, you’ll depart for Sipi Falls, which is about 4-5 hours drive from Kampala. Along the way, you’ll pass through beautiful landscapes, plantations, and villages. You’ll arrive in Sipi Falls in the afternoon and check-in to your accommodation. We shall take an evening walk to the sunset view point and enjoy the stunning views of Mount Elgon ranges, Sipi Falls cascades in the middle of the volcanic rocks. Later head back to the hotel for your hot dinner and overnight.

 

Day 3: Hike to the Top of Sipi Falls and Coffee tours.

Today you’ll hike to the top of Sipi Falls, which offers breathtaking views of the falls and the surrounding area. The hike is challenging but rewarding, and you’ll have a chance to see various bird species, monkeys, and other wildlife along the way. After the hike, you can relax at your accommodation and later in the afternoon, we shall go for a community walk in the village and visit coffee plantation.

 

Day 4: Sipi Falls to Pian Upe Game Reserve

After breakfast, you’ll depart for Pian Upe Game Reserve, which is about 3 hours drive from Sipi Falls. You’ll arrive in the afternoon and check-in to your accommodation. Pian Upe Game Reserve is one of the largest and most remote protected areas in Uganda, with a diverse range of wildlife such as elands, leopards, Antelopes, giraffes and a haven for birdlife. In the afternoon, we shall head for a nature walks within the park and enjoy the stunning views of the flat lands at Napedet Cave (Elephant Rock)

 

Day 5: Game Drive and Departure.

Today you’ll embark on a game drive in Pian Upe Game Reserve, where you’ll have a chance to see some of the amazing wildlife that the reserve is known for. After the game drive, shall head back to Kampala or to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.

 

This 5-day itinerary is just a suggestion, and you can customize it to suit your interests and preferences. You can also extend your stay in either destination or add other destinations to your itinerary, depending on how much time you have
