The Jinja-Sipi Falls-Pian Upe-Moroto-Kidepo Valley National Park trip is an exciting adventure that takes you on a journey through some of Uganda’s most stunning landscapes. The trip begins in Jinja, a charming town located on the shores of Lake Victoria and famous for its source of the Nile River. Here, you can enjoy a boat ride, Bungee Jumping or rafting on the Nile River or visit the Bujagali Falls.

Next, you will head to the Sipi Falls, a series of three waterfalls located in the foothills of Mount Elgon. The falls are a spectacular sight and offer the perfect opportunity for hiking, sightseeing, coffee tours, abseiling and rock climbing.

From Sipi Falls, the journey continues to Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve, one of the largest protected areas in Uganda. The reserve is home to several species of wildlife, including elands, giraffes, Leopards, and antelopes. You can enjoy game drives and bird watching in this beautiful reserve.

After Pian Upe, you will head to Moroto, a town located in the Karamoja region, known for its cultural heritage and traditional dances. You can learn about the Karamojong culture and lifestyle by visiting the local communities.

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our tour guide who will transfer you to your hotel in Kampala / Entebbe for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Jinja

After breakfast, you will embark on a 2-hour journey to Jinja, the adventure capital of Uganda. Here, you will go for a boat ride to the Source of the Nile, the longest river in the world, and visit the Jinja market. In the afternoon, you can go for a white-water rafting experience on the Nile River and back to our place accommodation for an overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Sipi Falls

After breakfast, we shall drive to Sipi Falls, a series of three spectacular waterfalls in the foothills of Mount Elgon combined with the community visits through coffee tours and learning about the cultures of the native community. You will have a guided evening sunset walk to one of the thrilling and magnificent high points here in Sipi to enjoy stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

 

Day 4: Pian Upe

Drive to Pian Upe game reserve for our morning game drive and nature walks within the reserve and we shall have magnificent views of the vast plains of the park with a variety of bird species and wildlife such as Elands, dik Diks, Jackson Heart beast, Ostriches, giraffes among other animals and later we shall enroute to Moroto for our overnight at Kara-tunga safari camp,

Day 5: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

After breakfast, we shall head deep in the community for the community experiences and Karamojong cultural dances and later depart Moroto for Kidepo Valley National Park, one of the most remote and spectacular parks in Uganda. You will enjoy an evening game drive in the park, spotting various animals such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, and many more.

Day 6: Game Drive in Kidepo Valley National Park

After breakfast, you will enjoy a full day game drive in the park, visiting the Kidepo River Valley and Narus Valley. You will also have a cultural experience with the IK people, a pastoralist tribe that has maintained its traditional way of life.

Day 7: Departure

After breakfast, we will depart Kidepo Valley National Park and drive back to Kampala via Gulu. We shall have lunch and have a short visit to Aruu Falls then route and arrive to Kampala in the late afternoon. You will then be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
